The Total Technology Reboot (TTR), is my premier service and where most firms start their journey. It is designed for service-based firms with 10-500 employees wanting a holistic, objective, and candid assessment of the technology in their company…and specific recommendations to take it to the next level.
It unfolds in 4 phases.
First, you contact me here and complete the form. We arrange a virtual coffee to discuss your situation briefly and whether this is a good fit for you. Assuming you want to move forward…
Second, we will send you acceptance materials. By email, you’ll receive an agreement to sign and return, a list of materials to gather, and a non-disclosure agreement that I have already signed to ensure the confidentiality of your business. Once you have formally accepted the engagement, you will receive an invoice. Upon receipt of payment, you will send out a census to all employees, including principals, so that we can issue qualitative and quantitative surveys. There will be a one-week period for survey data to come back, allowing you time to gather the other requested materials.
Third, we’ll conduct the bulk of the discovery and insight-sharing. This typically requires 12-14 weeks and depends on your schedule and how you learn. You are in control of the pacing. During this time, we will have at minimum 8 different meetings and discussions, with adequate time between modules to digest and start making decisions. After each meeting, you’ll receive a concise list of the next steps and homework.
The modules we will cover
- Technical footprint
- Human Support resources
- Technical Debt
- Technology Gaps
- Vendor utilization
- Cybersecurity
Various priorities will emerge from benchmarking. For example, if this reveals that no technology lifecycle is in place, we’ll fix that through your people, and process to create a predictable budget. We’ll talk about how your company is currently positioned now, where it should be, how to get there, and the future impact of new contracts.
Fourth, I’ll stand by during implementation. I’ll assist you via scheduled video call or email over a period of up to 4 months or 4 significant phone calls, whichever is first. (This is more clearly defined in the FAQ section)
You will begin to see a positive change very early in the process. In fact, the gathering materials is itself a learning exercise. Some of the changes can happen quickly, and others may take up to 18 months. The recommendations are a balance between the long-term positive impact vs. the short-term disruption, which we want to minimize as much as possible.
For this service, it would be good to Review the FAQ.
